Attention educators, artists, and students! AEC is looking for breakout session proposals for Regional Arts Education Day (RAED), which will be held this year on October 8. The theme for RAED 2018 is Honoring Tradition, Demanding Progress. If you are doing progressive work that might interest others in the field, consider submitting a proposal for a RAED breakout session using our simple form.
Breakout sessions will run for approximately one hour. We welcome proposals from educators, administrators, artists, and high school students – this year, AEC will set aside at least one breakout session specifically to highlight students’ work. AEC is especially interested in sessions covering the following focus areas:
- Research-based arts education approaches
- School/community partnerships
- Family engagement
- Equity and inclusion
- Advocacy and meeting student needs
- Integrating technology
- Influence of broader education trends
Session presenters will also receive free registration and a $150 honorarium per session to cover planning and material costs.
AEC will accept your breakout session proposals until 5pm on Friday, July 6, 2018. If you have questions or need additional assistance, contact Jamie Kasper at firstname.lastname@example.org. Since 2004, Regional Arts Education Day has been bringing together leaders in the field to share ideas and improve arts education advocacy. Add your voice to the discussion at RAED 2018!
