Dr. Cerveris, Program Associate for the Arts Education Collaborative, comes to us after an extended career in higher education. Trained as a classical musician at the Juillard School, and later at Catholic University and University of West Virginia, Dr. Cerveris expanded that background to include performances and experiences with other genre including musical theater, dance, visual arts, and multi-media. Dr. Cerveris’ recent publications include invited articles in "Transglobal Readings in the Arts," an anthology published by University of Manchester Press. As an arts administrator at the college level, he has served on and chaired faculties at Marshall University, Mercyhurst College, Arizona State University, and Duke University. As an arts consultant, he has served on panels of the Kentucky and W. Va. Arts Councils as well as the National Endowment for the Arts. He is a member of the National Advisory Board of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.
