Deborah Pixton

Mrs. Pixton, Project Manager for the Arts Education Collaborative, holds a Master of Arts Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's degree in music performance from Illinois Wesleyan University. Before to coming to the AEC, Mrs. Pixton spent time managing the Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra, working as a production assistant at the Ravinia Festival's Steans Institute for Young Artists, and interning with Midwest Young Artists. She is also a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh, Inc.’s Leadership Development Initiative XVII. As project manager, Mrs. Pixton focuses on Leadership Academy, research, and facilitates consulting services to regional school districts.
In January 2012, Mrs. Pixton moved to Illinois. She is currently working part time for the AEC.
