Welcome Our New Manager of Operations

The Arts Education Collaborative welcomes Mia Fuqua as its new Manager of Operations. Mia is a Pittsburgh native deeply rooted in the Pittsburgh arts community – first as performer and later as an arts manager. She began her education as a vocal student at the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, continued her studies at New York University, and received her Bachelor’s degree in music performance from Chatham University.  Following internships with the Pittsburgh Public Theater and the Pittsburgh Opera, she went on to manage the Pittsburgh Opera’s teacher professional development series: Workshops for Educators.  Mia brings to the Collaborative diverse experience in program and event management, operations, marketing, and communications working in higher education, local government, and the arts.
