Frameworks Workshop

 

In direct response to needs expressed by area arts educators, the Arts Education Collaborative is pleased to present a

 
professional development opportunity around the AEC's Symphony (Music) and Imagination (Visual Arts) Frameworks. Making use of age-appropriate concepts and scaffolding content, the Frameworks channel the teaching of the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for the Arts and Humanities in music and visual art through recommended process and content indicators.

This day long workshop will address the questions:

• How is a framework different from a curriculum?

• How are best practices in education embedded in the frameworks?

• How can the framework be used in guiding curriculum development?

• How can the framework be used as a tool to design professional development?
