Do you find it difficult to support art and music teachers in your school or district? Do you struggle to provide feedback to these teachers after observations?
We have a solution!
Join Arts Education Collaborative for Identifying and Supporting Quality Arts Education Programs. This new program for administrators focuses on equipping administrators to hire, support, and provide feedback and resources to arts teachers.
Why focus on the arts? Because strong arts programs foster academic, cognitive, personal, and social and civic outcomes that improve learning across the curriculum.
During the program, participants will work in teams to create blueprints for arts education in their schools or districts. These blueprints will include job descriptions, interview protocols, model lesson parameters, as well as characteristics and examples of arts SLOs, among other resources. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive 36 PIL hours. Dates for this cohort are:
- Wednesday, October 25, 2017
- Thursday, November 30, 2017
- Tuesday, January 23, 2018
- Thursday, March 15, 2018
Registration fee: $400 for the first participant from a school district and $200 for each additional participant from the same district
Participation in AEC’s Community of Learners for Arts Education (CLAE) is not a prerequisite for this program. Applications are open to any interested administrators.
