This event has been resceduled for Wednesday, March 3, 2010! MCG Jazz will be hosting a professional development day of jazz pedagogy and music-making designed for K-8 general music, vocal, and instrumental teachers.
This workshop will focus on:
- Highlights from 2009 spring residencies
- Early childhood module for jazz preview
- Jazz integrated music curriculum
- Addressing the Pennsylvania Standards for the Arts and Humanities through jazz
- Take home tools for learning and teaching the fundamentals of jazz
- And, hands-on opportunities to play and work with some of the top jazz educators in the region.
