Brief Description:Join Pittsburgh artist, Ron Donoughe, April's featured artist-in-residence at the Children's Museum for a master class on April 29, 4 - 6:30 pm. Painting En Plein Aire unites a rich diversity of styles under one common theme: truth to nature. In this master class, we’ll venture outdoors to re-learn how to see for more "honest" painting and deeper engagement with nature. Learn tips and techniques like pre-mixing mass colors to render changing light, forgetting what you "know" to see the subject as simple shapes and other insights from Ron Donoughe. Learn more about Ron's work at www.donoughe.com.
Bring your own art supplies (incl. paints of any kind, brushes, paper/canvas). Wear comfortable clothes. Any outdoor setup is fine, including sitting on the ground, easels or lap tables. To register, please call the Children's Museum at 412-322-5058 ext. 240. 2 Act 48 hours available upon request. Part of the F.I.N.E. Artist Residency Series, supported by the Fine Foundation.
