Mission/Vision/Goals
Now in its 38th season, the Renaissance & Baroque Society brings professional musicians from all over the world to Pittsburgh to perform early music (music written before 1800) on original instruments (made literally, when the music was created) or copies of original instruments. In addition to an 8-concert series, R&B organizes outreach activities where the musicians performing in the concert series extend their time in Pittsburgh to teach, demonstrate and perform in schools.
