Mission/Vision/Goals
The Frank L. Melega Art Museum was established to honor Brownsville native and renowned artist Frank L. Melega.  Mr. Melega was a prolific artist whose artwork is a record of the history and people of the Coal and Coke Era.  Changing exhibitions feature contemporary artists of all styles and media.  The museum is a center for study, not only of art, but also local history, and a sources of community pride.  Our goal is to continue to make meaningful artworks accessible to the public.
