BILLE
PEARCE RONDINELLI, Ph.D.
Dr.
Bille Pearce Rondinelli is currently the Assistant Superintendent/Secondary
for the Pine-Richland School District, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania and
has served in public education since 1979. During that time, Rondinelli
served as an administrator in the Mt. Lebanon school system just
prior to accepting her position as Curriculum Director K-12 in the
Moon Area School District (1999). While at Moon Area, Rondinelli
was promoted to Assistant Superintendent/Curriculum and receieved
two Commissioned terms.
Acknowledged
for her classroom experience with teacher/educator recognition awards,
Rondinelli taught (1979-1999) in secondary English/Language Arts
differentiated classrooms and specialized with advanced learners
in research, journalism, and advanced placement courses as well
as worked with struggling learners in Developmental Reading programs.
Additionally, she has facilitated courses or workshops for colleagues,
graduate, and undergraduate learners.
Today,
Rondinelli focuses on working with the Pine-Richland School District
's community of educators centering on the 7-12 curriculum of the
district that will best enable students to achieve and coordinating
secondary professional staff development and in-service opportunities.
Active
in professional organizations such as the Association for Supervision
and Curriculum Development; American Association of School Administrators
(AASA); Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) et.al., Rondinelli keeps abreast of
current educational trends, resources and initiatives. She regularly
attends and participates as a life-long learner in national and
local conferences, workshops, and institutes.
Supportive
of regional educational organizations, Rondinelli has maintained
an active role as the Professional Development Committee Chair for
the Arts Education Collaborative and serves as Vice-President for
the Western Region of the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision
and Curriculum Development (WPASCD). Rondinelli often notes that
her commitment and advocacy for the arts and service organizations
is maintained on both professional and personal levels.
Rondinelli's
personal education includes the completion of her doctoral studies
in May 1999 at the University of Pittsburgh with the publication
of her dissertation entitled Leadership Styles of Female Superintendents
and Assistant Female Superintendents in Western Pennsylvania.
Graduate and undergraduate institutions where Rondinelli has studied
include Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania and Kent
State University, Kent, Ohio .
