OSHER
Wendy
Osher is a visual artist and art educator. Her work is inspired
by incongruities in contemporary life and human perception that
open windows to deepened experience of community, the natural world,

dynamics of each exploration. In the recent past, her work has made
use of video, installation, and fiber arts. Wendy was an invited
artist in 2005 for the Pittsburgh Biennial, Hidden in Plain View
/ Forest in the City exhibition , and summer Gestures exhibition
at the Mattress Factory. She also creates videos documenting art
projects connecting art and artist with communities. In 2004, she
received a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship in Media
Arts and completed a month-long residency in Taipei , Taiwan at
The Dream Community, a community arts project. Her work includes
sculpture, drawing, and painting and has also been exhibited and
awarded at Mattress Factory, Penn Gallery, Andy Warhol Museum, Fe
Gallery, Three Rivers Juried Art Exhibition, Pittsburgh Center for
